This Mother’s Day,
help us reach our goal of  doubling the number of friends we have on FACEBOOK!
Dear friend,

I am very pleased to bring you this month’sSuellen and Willow newsletter. Please read on to hear about a  new, very low cost NASG that is now available, and our  upcoming events!

This year, as I celebrate my first Mother’s Day as a grandmother, I invite you to support our project in honor of your own mother. This is a great  opportunity to give a really meaningful gift this year.
As always, thank you for your support.

Honor your Mother on Mother’s Day by supporting our work with a beautiful, personalized E-card sent to your mom on May 8th

Happy Child

For every online donation made by Friday May 6th, we will send  a beautiful E-card to the person you are honoring in time for Mother’s Day, Sunday May 8th. This way, you can support our work saving the lives of women suffering from complications of pregnancy and childbirth, as well as a giving a great gift to your mother or any mother you want to honor!

With the exciting news of a new, lower-cost NASG (see below), we ask you to consider giving this amount  – $55 in honor of your Mother. We will send a beautiful E-card notifying her of your gift if you click here and donate by May 6th.

Please remember that our program is always seeking funds to assist us with our invaluable work. Here are some guidelines of what things cost. Please give as generously as you can:

$15 to train one midwife in prevention of hemorrhage and use of the NASG
$55 for one new low-cost NASG
$300 for essential (Hb) blood testing equipment for 100 women
$450 for a typical training session for 30 midwives

$1,000 to cover costs of a midwife supervisor for all study site needs per month

New, ultra low cost NASG produced in Hong Kong!!!
Patient wearing the NASG

For many years we have considered $170 for a life-saving garment a bargain, especially if you consider that one garment can be used over 40 times, giving it a cost per use of approximately $5. However, for poor clinics and hospitals, this may be a prohibitive amount.

This is why we are thrilled to announce that PATH have worked with a company in Hong Kong to produce a new, ultra low-cost NASG which is now only $55! Read more about this remarkable breakthrough – one we hope that will make this first-aid device an even more promising tool for donors, NGOs and governments worldwide!
